Dunlap Towing Company is a marine transportation company that has been in business for 100 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our dynamic team in Everett, Washington.

CONTROLLER COMPENSATION   from $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience

CONTROLLER HIGHLIGHTS:

• Experience with consolidated, audited financial statement preparation
• Excel proficient
• Experience with accounting software – Sage 100, CS Fixed Assets.  Ability to learn new software – we have 3 custom designed software programs used for payroll and accounting
• Ability to reconcile accounts for audit preparation

CONTROLLER JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintain financial records for Dunlap Towing Company and Pacific Rim Transportation
• Spot audit and produce monthly financial statements for all wholly owned affiliates
• Maintain fixed asset accounting system and information
• Document and post general journal adjustments
• Maintain comprehensive year end information and support data
• Interface with Company CPAs and tax accountants
• Maintain primary banking relationships
• Prepare and update Proformas and Budgets
• Research and recommend financing arrangements
• Monitor and manage cash flow
• Review accounts payable and direct payment of invoices on a weekly basis
• Issue and cancel stock certificates – maintain stockholder records
• Review and direct office staff on accounting procedures
• Prepare management information requests
• Assist in general management
• Maintain accounting system software
• Prepare charter invoices on a monthly basis
• Post cash receipts to customer accounts

CONTROLLER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years in a managerial accounting role
• Bachelor of Arts
• CPA, preferred
• Sage, Excel, Outlook
